In 1924, the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ established the Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary, the predecessor of Cincinnati Christian University, in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is one of the oldest Christian Churches and Churches of Christ colleges in the United States. With its founding, Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary provided education to both men and women, with the ultimate goal of preparing the students for careers in church-related professions. In 2004, the college became known as Cincinnati Christian University and now seeks to create "Christian leaders" in a variety of occupations. Students, faculty and administrators of Cincinnati Christian University believe in the authenticity and truthfulness of the Bible as God's word. They dedicate themselves to living according to God's word as it appears in the Bible.
