Summary[edit]

Description
English: Untitled by unknown artist. Oil on canvas, 28 × 23 inches, date unknown. Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago. Purportedly Tecumseh, while this is not fully established.[1]
Date earlier than 1994, when the Field Museum purchased[1] the painting (or was given it).[2] It is conjectured that William Clark (1770–1838), a collector of Indian portrature, or a major raised in Clark's house acquired it, earlier than 1839.[1]
