From Ohio History Central
Founded in 1847 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Otterbein College is located in Westerville, Ohio. It is named for United Brethren founder Philip William Otterbein, a German reformed pastor. In 2010, Otterbein College changed its name to Otterbein University. This image is from "Historical Sketches of the Higher Educational Institutions, and Also of Benevolent and Reformatory Institutions of the State of Ohio," published in 1876.
