Image of an example of the East Liverpool potteries, taken from from "The Pottery Makers: Industry in Ohio Heritage" series. East Liverpool, Ohio, was known as "America's Crockery City" and "The Pottery Capitol of the Nation" in the latter half of the nineteenth century due to its large sale of pottery. During the early twentieth century, the Homer Laughlin China Company was the largest pottery manufacturer in the world.
