The Toledo Storm is a professional hockey team from Toledo, Ohio. The team initially played in the East Coast Hockey League's (ECHL) West Division. The Storm began play in the 1991-1992 season, finishing with a record of forty-six wins and eighteen losses, winning its division and the league's regular season championship. The next two seasons, the team again won its division and also emerged as the ECHL's champion in the playoffs. The Storm again won its division, now the North Division, in the 1995-1996 season. Over the next six seasons, the squad, now playing in the ECHL's Northwest Division, struggled, finishing at the bottom of its division on two occasions. In the 2002-2003 season, the Storm emerged as the ECHL's North Division champion, but since this season the team has struggled once again.
