An artists rendition of Zane's Trace. Zane's Trace was a frontier road constructed under the guidance of Col Ebenezer Zane in 1796-1797 through the Northwest Territory, which is now the southeastern quarter of Ohio. The image has been taken from the Standard Oil Company's Transportation in Ohio Heritage Series.
