The Dayton Gemini was a professional soccer team from Dayton, Ohio. The team played in the Premier Development League’s Central Conference’s Great Lakes Division of the United Soccer Leagues. Originally known as the Gems, the team began play in the league in 2000. During its first season, the squad finished second in its division, with a record of nine wins, eight losses, and one tie. The Gems advanced to the conference championship series, but the Chicago Shockers swept the team. Before the start of the 2001 season, the Dayton Gems became known as the Dayton Gemini. The team struggled, finishing last in its division, in 2001. During the 2002 season, the Gemini again finished last in its division, with a record of three wins, twelve losses, and three ties. Due to the squad’s poor performance, the Gemini disbanded following the 2002 season.
