Cleveland Jaybirds

The Cleveland Jaybirds was a men's professional softball team from Cleveland, Ohio. The squad played two seasons (1977 and 1978) in and was a founding member of the American Professional Slow Pitch League (APSPL). In the APSPL's 1977 season, the Cleveland Jaybirds won thirty-two and lost twenty-four games, finishing second in the league's Central Division. The team advanced to the league's semi-final series in the playoffs before losing. The next season, the Cleveland Jaybirds won thirty-two and lost thirty-two games, finishing second in the league's Central Division. The team again lost in the semi-finals in the playoffs. The Cleveland Jaybirds became known as the Cleveland Stepien's Competitors following the 1978 season.
