Angie I. Cohon
Angie Cohon was a twentieth-century American author.
Angie Irma Reinhart was born in September 1890, in Portland, Oregon. She enrolled at the Hebrew Union College in 1909. She later transferred to the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated in 1912.
Reinhart married Rabbi Samuel S. Cohon in 1912. Angie Cohon later began a literary career. Most of her works dealt with the Judaism and Jewish life. Her greatest literary accomplishment was Introduction to Jewish Music in Eight Illustrated Lectures. Published in 1923, this book was the first English-language history of Jewish music.
Angie Cohon died in 1991.
