Notre Dame College of Ohio
In 1922, the Sisters of Notre Dame established Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. Notre Dame College began operation as a Catholic women's college. Traditionally, this institution was primarily a residential campus, but in 1978, Notre Dame College began to offer a program known as Weekend College. Local residents who could not take classes during the normal work week could now enroll in weekend classes and eventually earn a college degree from the institution.
In 2001, Notre Dame College allowed men to enroll in every program offered by the school, making the institution truly coeducational for the first time in its history. In 2005, Notre Dame College offered undergraduate degrees in almost thirty different fields and also offered a graduate program in education.
