Bob Greene
Bob Greene is an American journalist and author.
Robert Greene was born on March 10, 1947, in Bexley, Ohio. He graduated from Northwestern University in 1969, and began a career in journalism. He first worked as a reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times. In 1978, Greene joined the staff of the Chicago Tribune. Greene stayed with the Tribune for the next twenty-four years.
Greene won a number of awards for his columns, including the National Headliner's Award in 1977 for the best column in the United States.
He is the author of several books including Fraternity: A Journey in Search of Five Presidents; Once Upon a Town: The Miracle of the North Platte Canteen; Duty: A Father, His Son, And The Man Who Won The War; Rebound: The Odyssey of Michael Jordan; Chevrolet Summers, Dairy Queen Nights; To Our Children's Children; Good Morning, Merry Sunshine; and Billion Dollar Baby.
Greene has been a spokesperson for the prevention of child abuse.
